Hi guys, sorry I have not responded. I was not intentionally ignoring you. Shortly before posting this thread I had inquired to Sedo about auctioning the domain and they just got back to me late last night (my time) and told me they had went ahead and began the sale for it but I was not seeing it in the search results on Sedo but when I look now it is in there even though apparently almost 2 days (in the 7 day auction) have elapsed meaning the auction closes in just over 5 days. Sorry to not respond earlier but I was trying to see what was going on with them and if they were going to auction it plus I am on vacation in Thailand so my internet is spotty at best and thats partly the reason I am just auctioning it as I dont have the ability for a lot of back and forth questions and answers but will try to do the best I can. I will add the auction page to the main post here if you or anyone else is interested. Reagrds, and thanks for your interest.

This site has a lowly 3 backlinks in Google and only 124 in yahoo AND YET IT IS STILL RANKED #3 IN GOOGLE FOR "FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT" WITH OVER 72 MILLION RESULTS!

Imagine if you actually put the slightest amount of work into this site. It could easily be a GOLDMINE. That ranking on Google supplies most of the sites traffic (around 100 uniques a day consistently for the last 6+ months)

Just took a look and found your domain was ranked #324 out of 17,300,000. That is a far cry from "#3 out of 72,000,000".

Hi- you need to understand that when it comes to SERP's (Search Engine Results Pages) that they differ between different datacenters that Google uses so even within a given country/reigon there are differences.

As you can plainly see by this screenshot the site IS #3:

http://www.financialmanagement.org/images/statistics4.jpg

Moreover, you could do the same search 30 seconds later even in your datacenter and then see it.

If you ever have any questions about SERP's the best thing to do is use a multiple datacenter checker tool like this one:

http://www.seologs.com/data-center-check.html

As you can plainly see, financialmanagement.org is in fact #3 on Google for the search term: financial management on all the datacenters they check.

Lastly, it is completely impossible statistically speaking that the site is not #3 on most, if not all datacenters simply for the fact that if you look at this stats screenshot you can see almost 100 uniques a day coming just from Google alone. If the site were truly #300 and recieving 100 uniques a day then it means that the #1 spot would be getting 100,000-1,000,000 uniques a day as it is a proven fact that the first page of results gets around 95% of the clicks for a searcch term and if I am getting 100 a day then the first results would be getting an impossible number if you understand my meaning.

You can see the specific number of uniques from google here:

http://www.financialmanagement.org/images/statistics2.jpg

In any event, it is #3 in any datacenter I have checked from. Thats a fact. If it is not on your datacenter/computer for some reason and that dissuades you from bidding, no problem.

Can you tell me how many pages you have on there, and if you're taking bids here or only at your Sedo auction?

Perhaps they bought it and decided to sell it on again right away?

Hi guys, the site has 5 or 6 pages I think. Not many, but uniquely written by me. Yes, I am only taking bids on Sedo. I had auctioned it a few weeks ago but the top bidder changed his mind and since the domain was appraised by Sedo last month for $3,000 when they gave me the option to re-auction it i decided that was for the best since $645 is pretty low for a domain/website of this quality anyway so i was actually glad to get out of selling it for so cheap LOL

1 day, 8 hours to go in the auction.

I was the #2 bidder on sedo but the auction closed in the middle of the night so I couldn't bid higher.

Hi- yeah, I noticed the late ending before. Luckilly the new auction ends at 5PM EST tonight I think.

I was really shocked that the site went for so low. Sedo had appraised it for $3,000 just last month and they even offered to auction it without a prior bid with a $2,000 reserve so when it sold for so low and the top bidder backed out and they gave me the option to re-auction it I had to take the option.

Are you in the bidding this time around? You get another shot at it.

The valuation is worthless. Anybody can value anything. It has meaning only when they're putting their money where their mouth is. DNScoop, which highly over-values everything, puts the value of your site at $694.

DNScoop is the definition of worthless. They base the valuation on backlinks and pagerank, and not the inherent value on the domain itself... however I would agree that in the end it comes down to what someone is willing to pay for it in terms of a domains "worth".

The auction ends in 3 hours and 50 minutes so I guess we'll know soon enough what that is.

It went for $1,550 in the end and after I dropped out of bidding. I think you got a fair price.

This domain was just appraised at Sedo last month for $3,000!

DebtManagement.org just sold for $11,000 on Snapnames on 2/26/08

...

Simply put, this is an awesome premium domain that has massive potential ROI.
