You may have a hard time reselling this name. Unless you are a radio station .fm is something to stay away from as a reseller. Although it is a nice, short and English word, the extension really kills it.

Hope this helps... (it certainly helped me, as I now have finally reached my 1000th dnf$) :D

Most ccTLD's are hard to resell outside of their own country. So when you register a ccTLD name, register one from a big country so you have a big audience that is interested in your name. Also, before you register it, look if the country's own TLD is popular there.

As for .FM and .CD (or .SR for senior): the name might only have a little value if the name corresponds with the extension, for example: water.CD would not work IMO... unless there is a band named water that has cd's AND is popular, even then the name is not worth nearly as much as a .com (at least 15x less than .com).
