www.fontsforfree.net is a new free font site, but is not your average, run-of-the-mill Prozilla font site. I just finished several weeks of coding and data entry to create this unique database driven backend, with a full template system for easy skinning, font uploads, preview graphic generation, and all settings that are managed online. Front-end features include a basic search feature, multiple font categories, font ratings, download conters, contact us form, newsletter, and best of all, custom font preview. With a little promotion and a couple design tweaks this site should do very well.
The site is very SEO friendly through the use of a few simple .htaccess mod_rewrite rules which include the use of important keywords in all URL's, plus automatic Google and Yahoo sitemap generation (via cron), and a download splash page to help increase ad revenue. The fonts are all freeware or shareware, many can be found on other font sites, and were collected by myself from various sources over the years.
I'm a coder, not a designer so the graphics come from a freely available template which is in no way unique. Using the built-in template system you can easily create a unique skin of your own. I will include the .PSD files for the site logo.
This is a unique script which has never been sold before. Currently only one other site running this script exists (fontoo.com) which is the parent site that I am keeping. I have not decided how many of these sites I am going to make; but I'm not interested in becomming a turnkey reseller. I do plan to sell a few more unless someone wants to purchase master resell rights. Resell rights for the script ARE NOT included with the sale of this site.
Payment is via PayPal, or I will consider a trade for a MySpace or Arcade site with BIN value.
