Hello-

I represent a company who hosts a website with us named Jimmy's Flower Shop.
At one time our customer owned the domain name jimmysflowers.com. This
domain name apparently expired without our knowledge because on this
particular name we were not listed as the billing contact.

We noticed that you recently purchased this domain name on December 11,
2003. Is this a name you are in the process of using on a website you are
creating? Or, would you be interested in selling this domain name to us?

Regards,
**********

$100? Name has some traffic which is why I got it... prolly not much tho.

I was thinking that but $100 may be better than nothing & don't know how much a place called Jimmy's Flower Shop would pay to get his domain back lol

From Google, looks like this is where the guy is although this page does not resolve:

Jimmy's Flower Shop - Florists - Retail - Ogden, UT - UTAH
... OGDEN 801-621-2360 2735 WASHINGTON BLVD. LAYTON 801-773-8400 2840 NORTH HILLFIELD
RD. ORDER 24HRS A DAY @ www.jimmysflowers.com . Local &Worldwide Delivery . ...
www.yellowpages-ads.com/01206909 - 11k - Cached - Similar pages

Also Marketleap shows 29 links to the site.

I sold a .org back to the original owner for $150 so I would go for the $500 asking price - you can always come down if necessary.

Good luck.

I agree...start at 500$ ...

"Seeing that you had plans for the name ... and the time and trouble of finding this particular name that was perfect for the project ".

You can always drop the price but you can never raise it.

I normally sell such names for $100 to $200, although I did get an incredibly desperate guy once wanting his name back and I ended up with $350, thanks to his obvious show of desperation.

As with you cyphix, these are normally traffic names where I am probably only going to make $10 to $30 profit, so a sale at $100 to $200 is good news.

I would go,

"I paid $200 for the name for my business,
however if you are interested give me an offer

Jim" ;)

When contacted for a crappy name I geenrally start @ $1k and will settle at around $150 if needed.

Well they said they contacted the owner & he said he is only willing to go to $100 for the name as it isn't his main domain & doesn't advertise it a lot & mainly only redirects it or something.
