We have a domain named mp3clips.info parked on sedo and showing
396 views since we parked it a few weeks ago, but zero everything else. no clicks thrus. nothing.

The keywords we chose are Free mp3s.

Any ideas what would cause this?

Thanks.

Unknown.

The site was previously an active site?

Or;

I would hazard a guess the reason might be because people searching for free mp3's often have to wade through a load of garbage sites, often requiring payment, which of course is not what the searcher is looking for.

I would park it on your own server for a few days to ascertain where the traffic is coming from

Sedo does not count +80% of foreign traffic and the ppc for mp3 names are only $.03-$.04 per click

Yes, music PPC on Sedo is low. One needs to use other affiliate programs for music domains.

I disagree - I have a lot of music related domains - some get 30 per cent click thrus. You just have to work at it to try to get the right keywords.
Out of interest what schemes would you suggest for music domains then?

I have 40% but the PPC is low.

PPC is extremely low ... you are lucky if you get $0.04

The whole thing is kind of weird. In another example I have:

- freetunes.org with keyword "MP3s" 34 uniques 3 clickthrus

Compare that with:
- mp3clips.info with keyword "Free MP3s" 396 uniques 0 clickthrus

Trying to understand this is giving me a headache.
Thanks for all your comments. If someone comes up with something let me know.
Regards

I would suggest you remove the keyword, "free", for a time and compare the results.

Hi I have one for which I use 'free music' which works well.

Hello Dotfrog.

I checked the archive to see if this has been a developed site. There was no record of development. I will ask our tech team to look into the origin of the traffic for you. But this click through rate seems bizarrely low considering the ads being displayed on the landing page look very targeted.

I'll pm you when I hear back from the tech team.

Thanks. I did not expect to hear from Sedo. I am pleasantly surprised. Your help is much appreciated.
