sold for $45,000 Euro (whats that like $50-55,000) on sedo...

who got the better deal, the buyer or seller? or was it a good deal for both?

my opinion is the seller got the better deal

cellular traffic is very profitable
overture for freecellphones.com is 401, and freecellphones 1723.
Most get some nice traffic.

I think the seller got a good deal! :-D

Fair deal for both.

I sold a similar domain a while back, with a hyphen. The traffic was insane, for a hyphenated domain with similar keywords.

The bottom line is, "free" & "phone" is a winning combo. I think the seller got the better end of the deal.

Buyer wins overall, but seller did ok if quick cash was the goal. Easily worth $xxx, xxx now.

The buyer got a very good deal. I am helping sell a similar name right now (on this board) called freephones.com and the offers so far as much higher than that. "free" and "phones" ARE highly used words and can gain a lot of traffic.

Those types of domains are nice to have.

I believe Tassos owns "freemobiles.com" which would be an awesome name for the UK/EU market.
