What's the best site or tool to watch names go from Redemption period or Registrar Hold to Pending Delete?

I'm monitoring about a 100 names (who isn't) and just want to know when one "drops" from one status to pending delete.

Use our status whois. If you don't have an acount use the search names on the front page and pick the verify whois link.

It only shows status, date of expiry, update date. It will also take 50 at a time so it's very simple to use for lists.

My question is: What whois server do you use to make the lookups (rs.internic.net for com/net?) and do you use proxies at all with your script?

No proxies yet. We haven't been kicked from anywhere. It's pulling internic for the com and net and Pira for the orgs. Oh yeah and CIRA for the .ca's

I haven't put up the due to expire.com scripts yet. Its an excellent one too. It attempts to predict a drop date from the registry information.

Just a caution when using this tool you may find it showing different results from the local registrar's Db. This is because internic shows the expiry date that is the central registry expiry date.

For names that have just expired you may find them showing as active but past expiry. Or a registrar hold that has an expiry date one year later. Both the above examples are actually expired.

However if it's active and expiry date is one year later. You need to check the registrar DB because it could be expired or renewed. In this case go with the registrar's expiry date.

We're working on a fix for that by going back to the registrar's local DB and substitute that expiry date instead.

I was wondering, is there any way to get a "batch" list of domains that go into PENDINGDELETE on a given day? Is this something that can be done through the Exody list? And if so, which list?
