Information for people I had dealings with as to why I haven't been around lately. Me and my family was in the Lafayette, Tennessee tornados and lost everything. The whole story is posted at TiaWood.com. I'm not sure where I left off with anybody as it's been almost a month and we're just now beginning to get back on our feet.

I'll respond to any inquiries once I have a reliable internet connection again. Right now it's better to email me through my website or at tia @ tiawood.com

Thanks, all.

Tia Wood

Sorry to hear that, prayers with you and the family

Really sucks, I wish you the best in your domaining quest in the future, I'm sorry I couldn't donate but I am low on funds + don't use paypal anyways.

Best of wishes

We'll be around for any help. god bless you and your family,
did anything happen to them?

Sorry to hear it. Life just ups and bites you when least expect it. Take care.

Tiaaaaaaaaaaa! babe I really hope you are ok, let me know if you need some help :)

Terrible. All the best for you and for your family!

Amazingly, no. The house we were hiding in had structural damage and all houses around it were flattened. There were dead bodies on the same street and tons of people hurt. Everyone in our family made it without a scratch, even the dog. So, I feel pretty blessed even after losing everything!

I posted this on another forum but though it was important enough about "life backup" to share here:

Today is the first day I'm sitting down at high speed internet!! (It's a temporary connection).

After a month of chaos, it's finally starting to slow down. Now it's just a wait. Waiting for jobs to get back to my husband, waiting for people to move out of the house we're renting, waiting, waiting, waiting.

I just wanted to drop by and say thank you to everyone who has sent us a donation of funds and even prayers. We were denied by FEMA twice and the donations helped us get into a place and get the basic things we needed to get back on our feet. We don't have FEMA's help but we do have just enough to rebuild our lives now. I'd rather have just enough than not enough and it was certainly more than what we had starting the night of Feb 5th.

That was something scary guys; surviving the tornado and not knowing where we were going to live and what cash we were going to do it with. But almost a month later, there's actually some hope.

I told my husband we are investing in "life backup". Please take my advice and do the same. Make sure you have proper insurance, make sure you have data backups, ensure your family can reach your domain data in case something happens to you and make sure you have a way to live in case something happens to you like it did us.

Damn Tia...I never went to your site before..it's pretty good actually. :)

I actually enjoyed reading it. Now I think I may need you to develop a site or two for me!

Sorry to hear Tia. I'm glad all is well. I didn't know you were in TN. So howdy neighbor. I know it's not something you want to hear but they're a saying that our neck of the woods is turning into the winter tornado alley. If you need anything for your house let me know I've got a whole storage unit full of just about anything you could need.

Thank you, Focus!

JMJ, we left TN and moved to Missouri! Which, there is bad weather anywhere but after the tornado, there was nothing left for us in Tennessee. I have friends and family in Missouri.

Basically, go to your kitchen, living room or bathroom and look around. If you see it, we don't have it lol. But it's not that bad. We do have basics like furniture, dinnerware and stuff. The church is holding a housewarming party for us and the husband just got a job so we should be fine.

My permanent internet connection comes in two weeks or less so I can get back to work!! That will be a happy day to finally get on a regular schedule.

Sorry to hear that you had to leave Tennessee. But I do understand that it is nice to make a fresh start AWAY from tornados.

Glad to hear you life is getting back on track. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help.

I also went to your website, but I did not see a paypal donate button or anything like that. Did you have up at one point?

Also realize that I am a typical male and can not find ANYTHING even if it is 3 feet in front of me :)

Ah, I thought you were still here. If so you could have everything in the storage unit I'm tired of paying the bill on it every month anyway. What part of Mo? My son lives just north of St. Louis in a little town called Alton. As far as the weather is concerned you got that right. It was nice, sunny almost shorts and tee shirt weather a couple of days ago and 2 or 3inches of snow last night. Crazy.
