PS: There is one inherent problem with .in domains. Most of them lie in posession of people out of India. The Americans and Europeans.
This means 2 things:
a. Generic domains that are NOT in the posession of an Indian company/individual will not be developed. They will not be easliy sold too, because the high expected prices will not be easily digestable to Indians in India.
b. To quickly appreciate there need to be big companies promoting their .in's but there are none, or a very negligible amount... There are many .co.in's but not many .in's yet. For this to happen, it will surely take a long time.
