Was holding onto it and rejected offers of $800 and above....
Now the offer has gotten too tempting.
So I've come into the appraisal thread for the 1st time since I did not have a good understanding of how much the non-Indian thinks of Gandhi. With the good offer on hand I'd immed. sell, but am trying to ascertain if there is greater demand for this.

PS: There is one inherent problem with .in domains. Most of them lie in posession of people out of India. The Americans and Europeans.
This means 2 things:
a. Generic domains that are NOT in the posession of an Indian company/individual will not be developed. They will not be easliy sold too, because the high expected prices will not be easily digestable to Indians in India.
b. To quickly appreciate there need to be big companies promoting their .in's but there are none, or a very negligible amount... There are many .co.in's but not many .in's yet. For this to happen, it will surely take a long time.
When the sale is done, 1-2 weeks, I may post the price here....

$1K for a quick sale, IMHO.

$1K is decent at this early stage of the game, but if you can strike up a collaborative project (with an Indian firm that could handle the content creation and editing) it would make for a great biographical and fan site... and the potential would be quite interesting.
