Tried and roughly alpha beta tested with a very cheap & nasty skin in the UK..
some amazon earnings evidence available. ranked UK #1 for "cheapest halogen oven" #3 "cheapest watches" ( with no silo'd long tail sub directories such as Seiko, Seconda etc..).
# 12 for "cheapest wine" with an incorrectly named page.. opportunities to dominate the "Cheapest" moderator + Product is endless... with right architecture. Offered once only with no reduction in BIN for $25,000
originally a US site who made the mistake of going after high competition all the way. Aged 2004, had no PR when acquired in May this year. Now PR 1 with few back links but correct SEO and content seems to fix.. massive niche opportunity across "the Cheapest" market-place if in the right hands.. plus a bifg share of the more generic "cheap" traffic also winnable.
