Building a domain into a business is hard work so where are my daughters and I at with girlmedia.com? We’ve come a long way since the initial simple cashflow. It’s become the pseudo business plan as I teach them about different aspects of what it means to put together a fuller plan together.
So far we have a logo and the sight has gone through its first iteration of design. This didn’t take too long to put together. Some of the graphics are a bit cheesy and things such as the favourite icon are still yet to be done. The style sheet needs a lot more tweeking but it does the job.
The entire site has been built in Joomla. I’ve been using Joomla for years and understand how to do things in it pretty well….it does help that I can do programming but it’s not a necessary skill. So what plug-ins have we installed and what functionality do they provide?
