Im in the UK so i dont know if mine could be working and yours not be working, but Mines fine.

I'm in the US, Boston- mine is down as well. It's been half hour for me.

They were down before but normally backed on line in a couple of minutes.
This time it took a long time.

Backup your gmail to Outlook just in case it is down for a long time and you need some info from Gmail.

The trick in this case is to make sure that you go to advance tab and define:
Incoming server port (POP3): 995
Outgoing server port(SMTP): 465

as Gmail uses different ports than the regular ones.
