could someone explain to me how i can have an active backorder on a name that is registered with godaddy and when it drops i don't get it?

is it a $$$ thing? going to a higher bidder - does godaddy make more off it this way?

wouldn't godaddy not even need to 'grab' it as it was already with them?

what a bunch of crap...

You need to know about the existence of tdnam.com.

yea i buy quite a few through tdnam, but this domain was registered at godaddy, i back ordered it, and now it has changed info to a new registrar?

In cases where the domain is in Pending Delete, it doesn't matter who the registrar (previous registrar) was.

When a name actually drops, the previous registrar has no extra advantage.

If you backordered before the tdnam.com auction finished and if you are sure that no-one bid on the domain at the auction, and you didn't win the domain, that would seem strange (but not impossible).

Why anyone uses that service, I don't know.

But now you do know. It's not very (at all) reliable.
