Godaddy prices are now:

.us $4.95
.biz $5.95
.ws $9.95

Not bad if you ask me. :)

Now what happens though when we register names there and then they raise prices on us next year? I hear .us and .biz are a pain in the butt to transfer. LOL

Now are those new prices for renewals as well as new regs? I've found in some cases the transfer of us and biz names to be easier. You just need the authorization code in a lot of cases rather than the double approval stuff sometimes required on the .coms and .nets.

the renewal also $4.95

"Godaddy has extremly lowered the prices on .us, .biz and .ws ! "

COUld this be an indication of domain name sales slump (slow sales in domain name registration)?

Or could this be them wanting to be known as the .BIZ/.US registrar (having the most registrations), like NetSol is known as the .com registar...

Things that make you go hmmm....

Smart move if you ask me!

I think it has much more to do with Godaddy increasing market share...

is it easy to transfer domain out of godaddy? if yes, i will renew my domain with them and if they increase the price in the future i can transfer domain out easily.

Hey biz can you verify the $4.95 renewals? I checked the site and only saw the new reg deals. Can't find info on any .us or .biz renewals. Thanks Doc
