Backordered a domain name weeks ago. It dropped today. GD just sent email saying they were unsuccessful. Went to my account to make an exchange. Found this:

FRANCHISEFORUM.COM Backordered by Someone Else

SAY WHAT? :veryangry

It sometimes works 1% out of 100. I got nutritiontalk.com from it.

Not new.

GD has grabbed a few decent ones for me. And last month they grabbed webmenus.com for someone after it hit $720. at NameWinner.

Now to get back to THE subject: If GD grabbed FranchiseForum today, the proverbial poop is gonna hit the rotating wind generator!

Yup... try this, the feces will slam the windmill. ;)

Now to get back on topic: I'm actually considering using GD for a .com domain that is expired and soon to be deleted. (I think it's in RGP right now)... it's a pretty good name... actually very good. All surrounding domains are regged, and the .net points to a active PR5 site.

Should I use GD, or Snap... or?

Thanks

Rob

Been said many times before by many others: Use every possible drop catching service, club, etc. available to you. (If this name is really that good, slots are probably already gone at GD, Snap..., etc.)

Strangely enough, I feel relieved that the name was actually caught by enom and not by GD.

Page, could you please do me a favor and post here the winning bid three days hence (or PM me!) Thanks. :)

I caught Ouch.com and sold it for $3000.00 + with godaddy, don't hold your breath with godaddy, but ya never know, they are cheap enough with their backorders that you just have to get one as an insurance policy.

The key is having 15 a day to have a chance at them getting one.
