The largest domain registrar on Earth, with over 38 million domains registered, may be a good example of being just a bit too big: their .ca service is okay, but not as responsive as NamesPro, who are really fantastic.

GoDaddy is mainly focused on retail, end-user customers, and while they do put some effort into chasing the parking market, it is not their entire focus in the same way as some of the TBR-driven .ca registrars.

When you call GoDaddy customer care - no toll free number - you may be put on hold for a few moments while their representative goes to a second-level support specialist, but generally we get issues resolved in a timely manner.

In general the big American registrars are not a good place to register ccTLDs.
Each ccTLD has peculiarities but they tend to treat them as if they were all .com.
One example is the ability to 'push' ccTLDs that is seldom useful as it won't change the legal owner in whois.
So I prefer Canadian registrars for .ca domains, German/Austrian registrars for .de, British registrars for .co.uk etc :)
