Icann is far from a perfect administrator of the Internet, but it is far better than the alternative being conceived at the United Nations.

How can something that doesn't work now be considered better than something that hasn't even been tried?

The anti-UN articles reek of the typical pro-private tag words and platitudes. The Internet belongs to everyone - at least it should, but as it is now, it is being cornered and corralled by fewer and fewer people. That is not good for anyone - whenever anything becomes a monopoly it always has a detrimental effect.

Well it is all down to the old adage. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Well America thinks it works and it does for them. The rest of the World feels it is broke, because it has never seriously attempted to address it needs.

The World will have an internet that works, whether America wants to be part of it is yet to be seen.
