Hi all;

I have a fantastic domain which fits in well for a 'Band/Musician portal'. I would like to create a site where a Band/Musician can sign up and add thier details such as;

  • members
  • calendar
  • reviews
  • cds
  • biographies
  • etc

Can you recommend a PHP script that can accomodate this task? I have had a look at PHPNuke etc, but would like something a but more personalised.

Any help on this would be great, will offer some kind of sponsorship if anyone is willing to help.

Check out my friend Dave's RWScripts.com
He runs BlazeFans.com where you can see many of his scripts in action.

Let me know how you like it.

hmm looks like he only gives away only 1 certain script now.
I'd email him and share your idea with him if I were you.

Hello, I'd try Mambo OS (http://www.mamboserver.com). IMHO Mambo is a MUCH better CMS than PHPNuke or their ilk. You don't have to stick with the "traditional" 3 column portal designs and can use or adapt any design you want.

You can probably use or adapt the ArtistDirectory component (http://mamboforge.net/projects/artistdirectory/) for your needs. ArtistDirectory is a complete Artist directory with multiple Artists, Albums, Videos and Songs. It features mp3 player support, images and many other features.

Or keep an eye on the development of the Band / Musician profiles component at (http://mamboforge.net/projects/tstpbandprofile/).

There are many more components, modules, templates, etc. available at http://mamboforge.net and http://mamboportal.com

Oh, and did I mention that all this is free (Opensource)! Of course the community will be most grateful for any donations ....

Let me know if it worked for you.

I always new mambo is powerful.. but config and customisation is to time consuming and playing about (when your not totally 100% what your doing).

Rich like plug and play :)
