i bet more than $24 on grandnational last year and lost it all, so i wont bet this year and just buy the name..

just out of interest i did an adwords campaign just for the word "grandnational" for 24 hours (up until the start of the race),

i had to pay google $6 for the clicks but have made $29 on people signing up using tradedoubler betting affliates.. i know its not a great amount, but nearly paid for the domain (and the advert), shame they don't have the national every week!.. next year i will have to advertise it more, and the work on betting site that i will have to develop!!!!

Ah a grand national domain that brings back some memories. A couple of years ago I thought I had a reasonable chance of registering grandnational.com, which was allowed to expire, as it's the sort of name that many drop catchers of the time were missing.

But no surprise domaindeluxe.com got it, during that spell of a few months when they were cheating with the iaregistry.com connection and getting everything in sight. There was a great drop the day when grandnational.com expired but domaindeluxe.com got at least half of all the good names that day. Strange how they don't really compete these days, they must have a considerable amount of cash from domain sales by now, plenty to rent out their own registrar connection.
