I would also advise opening a thread here in the "Legal issues" section ... since "Mercedes" could potentially fall under the TM of "Mercedes Benz"!?! Just a thought, to be safe.

Sorry, you can't appraise a name with a TM in it, because legally, it is not yours. It may be yours now, but it can be taken from you at any time, so it is worthless..

After all, anybody that would buy a mercedes would certainly pay way to much for a domain too

If the economy keeps going the way it is you may end up with a lot of potential users...BMW drivers may have to lower their standards and drive a Mercedes

I think this is a great name. I would develop it to be a forum to "show off" Mercedes and meet other Mercedes owners and enthusiasts. There are sooooo many car clubs out there. Corvette, Porsche, Honda, etc. This domain name fits perfectly.

Granted, the bottom line to any domain name is how it will make a buck. I think if this were developed and had a few hundred users, it would be an easy sell, especially to a Merc. owner.

It may not be a money maker, but it sure could become a huge online community. Once it gets to that point, it certainly could.

They are not mine.

Nike is the name of the greek goddess of victory, no one can own exclusive use of a public usage name

Now what does Mercdes mean in other languages

If it is a vocab word in some language there is no exclusive TM issue

Now, if you use it to say sell cars, then it is infringing upon mercedes, unless of course you sell mercedes used, then that would be a fair use

I'm sure mercedes let new dealers use the name in urls

so TM's have several angles
