What the heck's the difference between gTLDs and ccTLDs?
I see them being used interchangably on this forum!

I thought gTLDs were geographic TLDs, like:
.eu
.asia

And ccTLDs were country-code TLDs like:
.de
.us
.uk
.in

Am I wrong or what? And when are they making .na damnit, for North America? I want it so bad!

And when are they making the Amero!!! To compete with the Euro!
NA ftw.

Listen to the man(theinvestor) the G in gTLD stands for Generic.
Okay, you guys are right:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GTLD

I just had to ask because the terms are being used interchangeably here!
And it would make sense for the "g" to stand for geographic in terms of .eu and .asia since those gTLDs are NOT ccTLDs, aka not country-code specific.

Some stuff just doesn't make sense I guess...because gTLDs are treated as TLDs, because most are the top levels...

JFYI....
CCTlds as well as Gtlds are all TLds (Top Level Domains). Gtlds are Generic Tlds (DotCom, DotNet,DotInfo, DotOrg etc..) and CCtlds are Country-code tlds (DotDe, DotUk, DotIn, etc..) and then there are sponsored tlds (DotTravel, DotMobi and so on) a few of the CCtlds are also vanity Tlds (DotMe, DotTv etc ...)
