depends where your market is, if its computer related i'd normally refer to the hard disk as a:
hard drive
or
hard disk drive
you'll also find that there is a lot of debate over the spelling, some will spell it disk... while others will continue to spell it disc...
Because of the above and if i were looking to purchase, my offer would be limited to:

'hard drive' is the newer term, make a good hardware forum which would convert well.
The hyphen looks ok here but you know resellers.
$1K - $2K is not unrealistic.
