Funny thing happened early this morning. A conversation I had with some one earlier today got me to thinking about my domains through the years since earlier 2000.

I came across a name that I hand registered FromTheGrower.com & plural version around 2002+/- I sold the domain to an enduser about 4 almost 5 years ago, who apparently has gone out of business or let the name drop, because today I hand reg'd the name for a second time.

I don't know why, but I kind of get a kick out of it. Having the ability to sell the name a second time around...lol!

Has anyone else here ever hand reg'd a name, more then once since you have been in this industry.

Never did it but I've buy a domain 3 times!!
I've buy a domain name (CVCV.com) more than one year ago so I've sold it on a forum...2 months later I've buy the domain again from another guy and sold for a great margin on Sedo.
Few weeks ago I've found on another webmaster forum the same name for sale at bargain price so I've re-buy it for the third time!!

Now I'm waiting for some endusers or I don't sell the domain no more. :D

A hand-reg name I sold around 2-years ago is about to drop, so I'll be grabbing it again... hopefully through another hand-reg and not an auction :)

Yes, I used to do this when .TVs were $9.95 to register and $39.99 to renew. You could let one drop and pick it back up and save $30.00.

Not happening to me so far, but i'm watching the very first domain i sold five years ago. If the current owner drops it, i would buy it again.

I sold a domain 22 months ago and picked it up again with a backorder (no auction) two days ago.

Hand regged twice? Nope.

But I can not count the number of times I have dropped a name, seen it is a list of expiring, thought, "Hey, that looks pretty good." and picked it back up.

Makes ya' feel like an idiot.
