Hi, today I bought this domain ( AuctionCar.xyz) from GoDaddy for $1.17.

I have seen that AuctionCar.co/.com/.de (10K to 25k) is listed for sale in several marketplaces.

Maybe buying this domain is waste of money.

What do you think about this?

Hi

because the same domain in other extensions are listed for sale, or even if they have sold,
doesn't automatically add value to your name.

there is a reason why it only cost you $1.17

imo...

I don't like it simply because it's not a .com; I would've saved 8.5 times that and picked up a decent .com from the drops. I believe you would have better long-term success there.

I also don't gauge the interest that my domain will have off of other domains that are available... for sale. I would ask myself a logical question, "If 10-25k is too much for someone to obtain the better name, how much is this one worth, and is that price worth my time?"

That said, I have identified some potential leads from doing an "inurl:auctioncar" search on Google.

Perhaps one of these would give you $100 for it to help grow a good portfolio:
Interstate Auto (Uses this as their Twitter handle, so this could be their "social" domain)
e-auctioncar.com
mcbayauto.com
auctioncar.kr
auctioncar.org
