I have an offer of $10,000 for my entire domain inventory listed here:

http://OnRadio.com/domains.html

I have sold about 15 names in the last few months (averaged about one sale a week or so). I haven't sold any for less than $200 and some for a lot more.

I want to focus on my media properties and be done with these other properties but the offer seems very low. I have a friend that said he wouldn't sell them all for less than $15,000 minimum.

Can I get you to take a look at the inventory and give me some opinions on the offer please?

Thanks

That's MovieShows.net (not .com)

Take the money and buy a couple of good names. QUALITY not QUANTITY.

**Edit** Unless these names are generating decent revs for you.

Yes, that was the first offer for the whole remaining group of about 950 domains. This person has bought several domains off the list and from what I can tell he sold them for really good profit. I don't "work" the list and only sell to offers that type in. He apparently markets the domains.

I have had other friends tell me not to sell for less than $25k -$30k because there are many pretty decent domains on the list.

Well, it's going to cost you about $7K to renew all those names. So if you look at it that way,the offer is really $17K compared to holding them and selling them in a 1 year plus period. However, your profit is minimal if you paid $7K to register them.

Here's a suggestion:
Offer to sell all but 50 of them for somewhere in that price range (maybe $12,000?). Have the buyer choose his top 50. Pick your favorite 50 from the remaining domains and sell him his top 50 plus all the others (except your 50). That way you keep 50 which you may be able to sell for another $5K or so. He might not go for it, but it would probably make it a fair deal that way.

I am surprised you got a 10K offer even, I myself would not renew 90% of those names, a couple that were good you sold already, some of the .nets are ok too but you cant expect a reseller to pay enduser prices (like the 25K our friends mentioned), dont get greedy, you might be able to get another 2K or so, but I think you should take the money and buy some good domains, some that have traffic even, look at it this way, even if you sold another 15 names for 300, that is only 4.5K , and that is gone fast by renewal fees, its hard to find buyer for .nets and .orgs compared to .coms

The domains get 1,500 to 2,000 uniques per month which I guess is not a lot for that many domains. Sales are about $1k-$1.5k per month so far.

I greatly appreciate the replies. Well thought out and smart. I have some new things to consider now, that I had not broken down and looked at before. Good one guys and thank you.
