The current traffic isn't great, (5-7 uniques a day, apparently many are type-in, but there are also existing links regarding two now-defunct tech support businesses from 1997 to 2004). The non-optimized revenue more than covers the cost of parking with a very high 21-23% click-through rate.

The most recent tech support business lost the domain with everything else when they were caught for securities fraud. They advertised heavily. The history is interesting, but pretty much harmless.

"Help Me" happens to be a song by Joni Mitchell. I have tried to use tech support keywords, but the influence of the domain name itself tends to bring up Joni Mitchell ads. I think most visitors want tech support, so I believe it can be optimized even better using a host other than GoDaddy.

I acquired the domain for my own tech support business, which isn't working out but it's a good domain. We never got to the point of advertising. There are no trademark issues, but I was informed by counsel that in spite of the two prior now-defunct businesses and the song title, the trademark can still be acquired.

I believe the quality of the name is where its value lies: 3 short words, easy to remember, easy to spell, easy to convey by word of mouth and it can apply to almost any business. Rapid-response tech support seems most appropriate use for the name, as history shows 3 businesses acquired it for that purpose, including myself.

To be perfectly clear (yet also confusing): I paid a flat rate to LEASE the domain for 18 months, but in this contract I have the exclusive right to buy it for $1500 during the lease period. In other words, the owner can't sell it to you directly. So, if I get an offer above $1500, he gets the $1500 and I keep anything above that. Make sense? The owner is very cooperative and accessible, so the transaction would take 1 day realistically, you would simply make one payment to the owner, who would buy me out of the contract for any portion of the sale above $1500. (He's a good guy whom I trust to pay me.)

I believe the owner also owns helpusnow.com, he wanted to sell as a package but we didn't want it. I also own helpmenot.com, which I bought just so competitors wouldn't use it to mock us. You can probably get them all three.

I'm a newbie, so although I AM looking for offers, it wouldn't surprise me if I don't find a buyer for the price I would need. I also welcome advice from others more experienced than myself regarding what I might do with this domain.

Wordy enough for ya? Feel free to PM or post here.
