Hide NameServers

(Really not sure if this is the right board for this topic, if not, sorry, please move it to the right board. I tried to find one)

Is there anyway to protect your NameServers from a Whois Search. I know you can protect your name and such, but what about your namesevers.
Is there a way? Or is there a Registrar out there that does this as a service?

No there isn't a way. Whatever nameservers are authoritative for your domain will show up in whois.

If there was a way to hide your nameservers than no one would be able to find your website.

Yeah, it's not something that really matters, I was just curious.

I thought there might be some Name Server Forwarding Service out there.

Like I sign up with a Private Name Server Company, and put their nameservers on my whois. Then whenever people access my site, it goes to their server, and their server redirects to my real name servers, which I have told the company.

I guess that's probably not even possible.

Again though, I am not looking to do this, I was just curious.

Many registrars will let you use their own nameservers, or do forwarding. For example at eNom you can even configure all your records (A, MX, etc) and the whois shows:

ns1.name-services.com
ns2.name-services.com

as the name servers.
