Well, I just saw that GetMovies.com just sold for $75,000 ... I own HireMovies.com and think its a better name than GetMovies.com!

Appraisala Welcome!

Hire movies ? What dialect it that...?

GetMovies.com has OVT with ext. 60

Hire means the same as rent. RentMovies.com would be much better though, as there is a subtle difference between rental and hire. Hiring, in the UK at least, is usually reserved for the rental of machinery. Ie. I would hire a carpet cleaning machine, but rent a DVD. Still, it's a good name you have.

sometimes some stupid names goes for very high price. Doesnt mean that all similar names will go for similar price.
low xx,xxx in my opinion

Sorry don't get it - Hire Actors, si. Hire movies no.

All the best,

Dadster

Well, sure - then again the potential buying market is the world isn't it? So, maybe quite a few of us New Yorkers in the know wouldn't understand that.

If the intent is to sell to someone in London or the UK - or I would imagine Australia then I guess you are on to something.

But being as I am from NY - I wouldn't buy it, nor would I 'hire it'.

Agree. In Texas I wouldn't "hire" a movie. But I don't think GetMovie was worth the money paid either (my $.02). I'd say somewhere under $1000 but comp's are all over the map.

Thanks for your feedback everyone!

Hi,

Im new here, just thought I would give you some information on your domain name. I checked at LeapFish.com and your name has a combined value score of 91 which is above average for names that dont have a website backing them up. Based on this and analysis of over 2000 recently sold domain names and their CVS's, your name has been given a base value of $430.00.
You should not sell it for below this, but it is almost statistically certain somebody will pay the base value for it. With the right buyer you could sell it for up to 10 times the base value or more. It all depends on if somebody needs it.

Hope that helps.

Needs refinement?

sex.com - $3,131
1-4xiqp.com - ERROR

I believe this industry needs better pricing data and not more guessing. And if you don't show comp's, you're just making up numbers.

My $.02.

Cheers,
BidNo

Anyone else got some feedback on this name?

i don't think this is a business name...maybe a hobby site or soemthing

I have never heard of anyone using the term "hire movies".
