Is there a way to find out historical traffic data for any domain? Are there any tools/services that has this feature?

I think Alexa may have some of this, but maybe only going back for a year. And it's not exactly traffic but just their ranking information. The problem is that the traffic stats are only available on the server where the domain is hosted, unless the pages of the site have some code for something like Google analytics. With out either of those two things it is very hard to determine how much traffic a domain has been getting in the past.
