Actually Hongkong is also often written as Hong Kong. Both ways of writing are correct and accepted. Thus I think the hyphen does not hurt.

there is a recent thread somewhere here at DNF that talks about all the recent hyphen sales, hyphens aren't necessarily a bad thing anymore, and some names like this one totally suit having a hyphen. sometimes the hyphen even helps break up two words and make them easier to read when you're scanning a page. and they don't hurt for SEO. try doing some searches for common two word terms and you'll see that usually the hyphen version is gone in some if not many top extensions. so I'd agree in the mid xx,xxx range or higher for a major city like this

I would have thought that any hyphenated .com domain is going to lose business to the non hyphenated version of the same name. Therefore the hyphen is surely a negative. However as it´s Hong Kong I would say maximum 20k and I would love to put my hotel banners on that site. Creature.

I just saw macau.com sold for 550k somwhere. I used to live in HK and it's a money ladin place. If macau.com can get that much... there's no telling what hong-kong.com would bring!
