I've never really looked into Sedo before, but there are about three dozen names I want to register and develop later. If I parked them at a site like Sedo (or any others you would suggest), could they make back the $10-$30/yr without much problem?

10-30 expensive regs. Depends on the names and the traffic they receive.

If they get no traffic they will make no money, if they get ok traffic and have good keywords they will make the money back.

How would I point traffic to a domain with no content though--SEO?

sign up with sedo and they walk you throught the steps of parking with them.

PM me if you need help. Or more details.

Thanks, just shot them an email :)

I have parked domains with them. Barely no traffic, and even less clicks-income. Process is quite simple though.

Yes, if they are newly registered domains then it's unlikely they will make any money from Sedo. Sedo is mainly for domains with existing link and search engine listings, or keywords which are not usually available at reg fee.

Your best bet to monetise a newly registered domain is to upload a few pages of keyword-rich content and then add a Google Adsense bar. You should be able to make back your reg fee in a year.

If you are paying $10-$30 a year for .com/net/org/biz/us/info/co.uk then you are paying way too much. You should be paying under $8. PM me for more details. Also if you want help developing your domains.

First of all, $10+ for a domain registration is too much. Go for a cheaper
registrar.

And I agree with Mr.Domains. Newly registered domains usually receive few
traffic. Therefore it's difficult to receive good income from parking these
domains. You need to get them listed in search engines and you need back-
links before you can park a domain. You will only get a good linkpop if you
put some content on the domain. Make a small but good website and forward
your domain to it. Then submit your domain(s) to search engines and try to
get some links pointing to your new websites. You can also display AdSense
ads, etc. on your website to make some money before the domains are parked.
Indeed, I think AdSense is much better than "normal" domain parking. It has
a higher cpc and a better ctr (my experience). Well, the ctr depends much
on your website's quality, but it's not very difficult to earn the registration
fees of your domains back within a year with using AdSense on your sites.

My tip is: Try AdSense first and you're not making enough money then try
parking your domains. But (as said before): Parking domains is only paying if
the domains already receive traffic.

Would you write the few pages? How would you determine what is keywork-rich?

$10 would be for .coms, and I don't mind paying $2 more than I would somewhere else. The higher ones are for .ws and other extensions.. only a few of those, though.

The filler content + adwords sounds like a good idea--will search engines be alright with just a submit and no backlinks?
