Hi, I wonder which number would be the input for you to reg a name based only on Overture result.

For example I found a short name .com with Overture 800 without ext.

Wonder if reg it or not.
Cheers

I usually stay over 10,000 w/o extension. It really all depends.

Like most everything, depends on your keywords, the market niche (ex: burgeoning name?), your personal feelings, among other things (ex: is the name timeless?) - and not just Ovt.

I use Ovt as a guideline in conjunction with other indictors, such a google returns and payout of ad prices to the keyword(s), to determine if I will buy it.

Good Luck!

they are getting very hard to come by these days in .com , I would probably reg it at 800, though usually try to stay 5,000 and up.

depends on a lot of things, I think 10,000 is easily a safe reg for a .com, as long as you hit the search term bang on. if it's a two or three word term, you have to be careful what order the words are in, and check if any should be plural.

if you are regging strictly for PPC or developing with adsense ads, then you have to make sure the term can pull some decent paying keywords.

there are other factors, like the term may be in your industry, or have close personal meaning, or there is reason to believe the overture will increase over time.

If it's a short one word in .com then it's probably worth regging at 800, unless it might be a typo of another word? At the 800 level, it starts depending on the other factors - like keyword value, future potential, etc. If it's taking a long time to decide then there must be some kind of value to you there, so just reg it. good luck

A lunch at McDonald's costs more than reg fees these days. Go for it!!

thanks all guys, great forum really !

In this particul case is a sequence of 6 numbers......so it`s timeless......

NNNNNN.com

that`s it

about 2 millions results on Google too

If the number means something with commercial value I say get it.

Agree here, 10k is a good guideline though I have some with lower OVT. Some keyword phrases have high bids, but aren't searched as frequently. Conversely, some highly searched terms have low ad bids. As stated, depends much on the market and the keyword involved.
