I've had snaps on 2 names now for like a year & they are still on hold! :veryangry

Forever and ever. Amen. Until the registrar specifically sends the "DELETE" command, they could hang on to it indefinitely. It'll just keep renewing with the registry. Always been a problem with Network Solutions and Register.com. Gotta keep those numbers up, maybe?

Maybe ICANN should regulate this.. as that is just moronic? How does it benifet them exactly anyway? Aren't they losing money by not having another person paying them for registration & renewals? Seems pretty stupid to me.

Btw.. the registrars are NS (no surprise there) & Tucows.

Could be "legal" problems (contested ownership [due to death, breakup of marriage, dissolved business, etc.] etc.) Have been watching a couple of names that "expired" in 2001 and 2002! (Have 'em all covered at NRR though just in case!)
