A US-based wedding photographer contacted me for a .com as he owns the .biz for his professional web site. How much does a wedding photography session cost nowadays?

Actually, that's conservative in some areas. You'd be surprised how much upscale weddings cost in Istanbul, for example. In some cultures, the father of the bride wants to spend as much as possible.

I understand "spend as much as possible" but comeon, I think for 25k you will have some famous singer come and do a few songs on the wedding. 25k for the photo dude only, thats rediculess, I cannot believe it.

Anyway, I was trying to gauge what a wedding photographer makes per session in order to quote a price.

25K-250K - but at this level you're talking highest quality, tons of photos, professional movie quality videos (DVDs) etc..

Most will probabaly run $1K-$5K and that includes a set of proofs.

300 people at the Hyatt in Long Beach... Not real big. The ceremony was at the Greek Orthodox Church, Greek Girl and a Irishman. Very nice couple.

All at the expense of the Father of the bride, who is a Cardiologist... Now that's a profession to get into.
