I tried using the browser but that didn't work for me at all! Totally down. I don't know how you people have a connection? I tried so many times, to say the least.

But then I remembered I have a Sysinternals whois app, and believe me it does it's work nicely!! You can get it at:

1 http://www.sysinternals.com/utilities/whois.html

2 place the whois app in the c:\windows directory

3 start> run> cmd> whois domainname.eu

Good luck,

:gossip:

Cheers for this, works really well.

thanks, works

where you able run the app in CMD? Or is there no connection?

cmd command is:

whois domainname.eu

for e.g.

whois edrugstore.eu

Good luck

Doesn't work through a proxy...

no. when i paste "whois edrugstore.eu" into Run it justs brings up the whois dir in windows dir

you can't paste the "whois command" in the run field! NO NO, ITS WRONG BUDDY.

first put the whois app you downloaded into the C:\WINDOWS directory
now type cmd in the run field, and now you can type whois domainname.eu for a status check.

DON'T KNOW ABOUT PROXY, SORRY
SORRY FOR MY CRAPPY ENGLISH!
Good luck,

400.000 new .eu domain since 11.00 this morning, thats a lot.

It means 55 domains every second, my friends.
