You need to use a registrar for registering/renewing domain names. Several are recommended on this board including Godaddy, eNom and Dotster. Depending on the number of names you want to register, you should be able to keep annual fees below $10 for .com, .net, .org.

If you want to pay in Sterling, I'll register for you and give you a control panel to maintain your details. I'm in Hampshire/Surrey in England.

Certainly interest, what are the renewal fees?
Once renewed, are they then transfered back onto my server for hosting?

registration and hosting are two totally different things. I beleve you should not register names through your hosting company in case you have problems.

If you are buying names you need to consider transfer fees and costs as well. How many names do you want to use?

Your domain renewal fee is almost always the same as the new registration price.

i.e. you reg a domain for 1 year @ $10, a year rolls past and you renew it for $10.

I think there are transfer problems with UKreg, you need to check their T&C. If you have that many you should either buy one of Doberry's eNom accounts, or use someone like OnLineNIC. OLN charge $6.69 and give you a separate control panel facility for each domain name. Also free and easy transfers.

Thanks,

I think it looks as though they may be doing in the near future, can anyone confirm this?
