I doubt you will ever get 3 years profit straight up. You would maybe get 18 months. The industry changes and your traffic may not always be there.

I see what you mean on the other hand if the site is exspanding rapidly the chances are they will make 3years money in one year.

Well I am not sure if many people will take that chance. Because there is a chance they wont get their money back for three years. Thats a long time. Unless you can show rapid, continued, growth, I would say * 36 is too much.

6 months might be more realistic for an adult biz, I've seen them go for only 3 months of net sales as well

24 - 36 might be the rule for a non adult .net or .com

Most adult sites I've seen sell go for 3-6 months * net monthly profit. Traffic is also a big factor.
