Its very simple, just put a link to your site in your sig...

Each thread has a Google PR of 1, so if you make 2000 posts, that's 2000 links to your site...cool idea if you havent thought of it yet :-D k:

i thought of this at one point but thought it would be too easy. it would only apply to forums that archive the threads.... also i believe the further the links are in a site, the less relevant they will become.

Are you sure? According to alexa there is not 1 link to my site FindExpired.com, and with all my posts there would be some wouldn't there?

Alexa takes FOREVER to update their "Site Stats" At least 3-4 months..

I believe your link needs to be on a PR 3 or 4 before google will even consider it a worthy back link.
