People just showed me a link where I was called a spammer on one of the clown forums with 10 members.

http://www. d n f .ca/showthread.php?287-SPAMMER-ALERT-MIKE-BER

It is frustrating because now I will have to register in order to reply, or just ignore. I just don't understand why people so upset if somebody approaches them to buy a domain name. They are domainers, there is a publically available whois information to contact the owner, I am giving them my full name, company name, phone number, and still I am a spammer. How do they want to sell domain names?

If you are emailing people to buy your domains it could be considered a form of spamming, but if you want to buy their domains???

Maybe this is a form of hard-nosed negotiation?

Why would I email them if I don't want to buy, and leave them my phone number? I am closing deals every day, bought Chiropractic.ca today for instance in addition to 10 TBR names. How else to buy .ca domain names? We have 15 listed here for sale, some on sedo, on afternic. How do you buy domains without contacting other people

From my vast experience best to ignore.

Unless you sent dozens of emails simply going through CIRA (the established channel) to send a single email with a question is not spamming.

I registered (sorry Adam) and responded to the post. Told him to lighten up it was an acceptable activity.

I didn't buy any names from you. Why are you reporting it?

Pile.ca sold six more Canadian .ca domains ...

If buy email does not mention any particular amount I ignore it. Because 99% of buyers want anything for $20, $50 tops.

In my opinion there is only 1 DNF. Who is behind this site? Investor?

http://clownforum.com/ is a really ugly site.

There should be a law against them congregating online. Nasty creatures.

ontopic:
there seems to be a tendency with some domainers to call any email they don't like spam. Maybe some domains are so great they just don't want to sell?

There is always a disagreement about any unsolicited emails. Not all of the considered to be spam. It is kind of frustrating because my email was to the domainer about a domain name. I am happy when people contacting me. I don't even care if it is a oneliner. That's ok, ti can still lead to the sale. I just don't understand the guy, he is a member of the domain name forum (not this one), and he is so angry when people email him about the domain name purchases.

Yes, that seems odd.
