I'm not sure if this is the right section...But I dont have the money to check it and I know some of you have memberships

I need a history of bpdfriends.com I have recently started this site about 3 wks ago and now someone else from another site is stating that its a data mining site that i will use the user information from them to sell to spam companies for meds...

i would greatly appreciate any help on this so i can prove him wrong

He just doesn't like the competition. You should just get all emotional on him and "how dare he try to suppress additional support sites for something as serious as BP and blah blah", but also admit that you could be a little more transparent on your mtoives.

A couple points of contructive criticism - you need a privacy policy, terms of service page(s) easily accessible. I couldn't find any. You might also want to include some standard contact info on your contact page - name, address, phone, etc. Relying on Whois for ID doesn't cut it.

An "About Us" page making a heartfelt explanation of your purpose, experience, etc. would also go a long way to dispelling suspicious thoughts.

The bar is set much higher for community/forum sites for topics such as yours. While this person is out of line, there are ways you could respond and things you could improve to address the legitimate parts of his worries.
