My guess is that it's "lost".

There seemed to be a few of these around about a year ago (like hke.com?). They had technically expired but NetSol just forgot to drop them.. Most seem to have finally dropped (hke.com on 26 Oct 2002).

It appears to be a dotBomb (originally owned by monster.com):

http://www.spcnetwork.com/mii/2000/000211.htm

I thought it might just be incorrect whois info, but it has been removed from the zone file.

If you really want it, get a SnapBack and wait.....

Could this mean someone from netsol is reading this forum, or just coincedence?

As soon as the drop dates for shoplink.com and hookups.net were questioned, their records were updated.

shoplink.com
Record expires on 16-Dec-2000.
Record created on 15-Dec-1995.
Database last updated on 7-Nov-2002 15:49:55 EST.

hookup.net
Record expires on 23-Apr-1999.
Record created on 22-Apr-1993.
Database last updated on 7-Nov-2002 15:52:46 EST.

3 minutes apart...

ok now i am even more confused.

now hookup.net says:
Database last updated on 7-Nov-2002 15:55:18 EST.
and shoplink.com says:
Database last updated on 7-Nov-2002 15:56:19 EST.

actually, it just keeps on updating. i am going to go back to bed.

SteveK, nope.

Refers to when the database that contains the record was updated. Doesn't really have anything to do with the domain name itself I think. The use for it is to see whether the record in the specific whois database is up-to-date.

This domain name is put on registrar lock by Verisign Registrar. It will not be deleted until the lock is off.

I'm not joking. I talk SHOPLINK.COM and HOOKUP.NET that this post mentioned.

In early NSI monopoly days, domain name can be put on registrar lock by NSI for various reason.
