alright, here is my best domaining tip:

always register .cc domains as they are valuable and target a large international market, some very intelligent people even associate the term credit card with .cc

even if the domain you want is available as a .com, take the .cc, it shows you are unique and are very smart when it comes to investing $30

Wow GT u never game me that tip

I save it only for the people who need my help badly :-)

Really? I thought they were used to identify a server and serve a particular set of files.

Not on this forum, its not.

Try slashdot.org

the domain name simply put is a pointer to an address on the internet.. every computer connected to the internet has an what is called an "ip address" (internet protocol) and this ip address may look like this for example ---> 66.13.255.100 now obviously this kind of address is not easy to remember.... so the internet community created a naming system which basically is a database of domain names that point to ip addresses.

Domains aren't nearly as risky as gambling in a casino. However, there is potential for great profits.

A domain name is a lottery ticket people buy in hope of striking it rich. If you have ever gambled before at the casino, the domain game is exactly like that.

C'mon guys he is kidding :)

Oz -

DomainNames are a fad. Especially the ones that end in .com

BUT if you do register one or two .com domain names, always pay more. A .com domain name that costs $35 a year is 5 times better than one that only cost you $7 a year.

And the longer the better. Search Engines love domains that are longer than 35 characters but less than 48.

Throw in a few dashes too. I heard from my sister's boyfriend's cousin's roommate's boss's SEO that the new Google Page Rank algorithim has a "backdoor hack" that is going to give automatic PR of 7 to any domain that has 7 consecutive dashes in it. You heard it here first!

LOL.. Locos, thanks for those great tips. I think we can all learn a lot from you. The all mighty GURU LOCOS.
