I just noticed that name in your signature about 10 mins ago. It is, of course, a stunning name. What are your plans for it?

I am going to use it for sub domains - ie. washington.internet.net etc. And will also use it as my main company domain. I paid a lot, but I am pretty sure I got a good deal. What would you think realistically on value - I usually base my pricing on 5% of the .com - ie. The .com sells for $2m? This is worth $100k to the right buyer - agree? Disagree?

5% seems a bit conservative vis a vis coms and nets - I am more inclined to go with about 10%.

Value at the moment for this one - $70-100K. Keep hold of it for a few years and the value will be astronomical.

Wow! VERY good name. I'd say because of the word "internet", it's actually worth more than the normal 5-15% of most other .net's. And $10k is a good buy. Congratulations, Mark! Yes, a better way to capitalize on this name is to develop it *nicely* (not just with affiliate links) and sell it as a website (not solely a domain) later. Could go way beyond $100k down the road.

I made an offer on aq and was offered Internet.net as aq was sold but I didnt ask for the price. Guess I should have!

Right now I would say 30-40k with possibility for much, MUCH more if you hold onto it for a while.

Yes I was offered aq.com. Great domain, but didn't quite fit for me. I think these are selling wholesale at about $15k? Could probably get it for $12k

Thanks for your appraisal - I think that it is one of those domains which could sell for anything if the right buyer came along. We'll see. But in all honesty, I think I may hold it for my business. Circumstances will dictate.
