Almost bought an iphone last week. :D but, now i'm having second thoughts. between iPhone and BlackBerry, which one is better?

Depends on what your needs are but read the fine print before you sign on - here in the US both devices normally require their own plan, which is far more expensive than the normal plans.

Here in US for iPhone we must take the Internet which is $30.00 extra per phone.
On Blackberry 8900 that I have I did not take the Internet.

Save $30.00 a month but I like iPhone myself.

Regardless the plans, which one do you guys prefer?

Neither? :)

Blackberries have a huge learning curve and I don't like the iPhone UI.

iPhone = My kids love it so, they can play games.

If you like to "touch" then get the Iphone, otherwise take the Blackberry (not the touch one - They are still working on the issues as they want to clone the Iphone but they are not even close).
I personally like the BB - been using for a couple years (changed model every year). I can leave my wife at home but not the BB.

I am a HUGE fan of iPhone from day 1 when they show off their touch screen thingy. But just when I was all ready to go ahead, they put forward the 3GS (with the video), lowered the price, and make my dream phone (whether it's the new one or the older models) out of stock most of the time.

As a result, I got a Blackberry instead. And the best part is, I got it WITHOUT a data plan (continue to use my existing voice plan). I probably need a data add-on very soon, but at least I didn't have to sign that into a contract which itself incurs early termination fee.

I'll have to say that the iPhone looks and functions damn good. Nothing can match their touch screen..

I have both and sometimes can't figure out how I lived without either one. I have always had Blackberry's really since they came out and love getting emails on the go. When I switched to the Iphone I killed the battery too fast getting all my emails. So I switched to the Bold but realized I could not log into Google adsesne to check earnings or log into my bank very well etc. So I came to the conclusion that I needed both!

Iphone advantages to a domainer:
Azoogle Ads applications to check earnings
Wordpress login functionality and app
Better browser with ease of use
Easier to go through pages with the browser I.E. purchase a domain at auction

Blackberry:
Battery Life
Email Management
I really only use my blackberry to talk on and get emails

I have bought domains at auction with each device, it was easier with the Iphone for that reason if I could only carry one I would have to use the Iphone. I can live with a bad battery with the amount of chargers available etc.
:ok:

Are the two phones you're deciding with the same company? If they're different companies you'll need to look at their difference, too, especially data.

GSM (iPhone) tend to have slower data speeds while CDMA has faster data speeds and better security over the network.

I'm assuming they use the same spectrum in Canada as they do in the US? 800MHz tends to have a much better range and penetration into buildings but 1900MHz give far better call quality.

If web usage is important (and what domainer wouldn't consider it important?) you'll really need to look at data speeds - would you rather be on an auction with a 3MbpS connection or 512KbpS connection? Don't listen to the BS about "up to" and "max" speeds - get realistic speeds (average).

don't use a BB Storm. mine freezes an average of twice a day, and I don't like the fact you have to click the screen on a BB storm. i have an iPod touch, and i think I will be changing to the iPhone when my contract is up.

iphone is the best i have two and they are the best...

iPhone 3GS for sure.

But if you have to get a Blackberry, I recommend the Bold or the Tour.
