i saw this headline on thedomains.com.. talk about a for real hit or miss situation. apparently the iPhone was almost called: Mobi

This name would not fit to other apple product names like ipod, itunes or imac.

"macbook" doesnt have an "i" in it... perhaps thats why Mobi and a couple options that didn't fit the mold were considered, to stand apart from the sea of other apple products.
