Hi all,

I decided to go ahead and buy this domain as it has 1,000,000 searches last month in the US...hence the .us extension. It also has a pretty decent PPC (around $6-7) so I thought why not.

What do you think it is worth because this is my first .us??

Thanks.

I saw this on the drop lists as well. The reason I didnt reg is because "IRS Form" only receives 8,100 EXACT monthly searches not 1M, which isn't alot for a .us - but in this case the phrase fits the extension. The plural version is the golden ticket not the singular.

There are a few end users out there but it may be a tough sell as accountants are known to be thrifty. You might get mid $XXX for it.

I suggest you develop this and provide all the available IRS forms, after receiving some traffic you can start putting ads on there and then you should do alright.

hmm thats interesting, I checked the google keyword tool and when I set it country to the USA and type "irs form" it comes up with 1,000,000 local search volume (April) and 368,000 global search volume (April), and when I typed irs form without the "" it came up with exactly the same.

How did you get 8,100, am I doing something wrong?

Oh and also it looks like the plural (IE: irs forms) gets 1,200,000 local and 450,000 global which, in comparison, is not that much more....interesting.

When you are doing a keyword search in Google - you have to choose the "Exact" search from the drop down menu. It is automatically set to "Broad" but once you refine the search you will see that there are a lot less search results.

The reason why there are 1M searches in "broad" is because Google is including searches for anything that contains the keywords "IRS form" i.e "1040 Irs Form" or even "IRS Forms"

Ah yes my mistake. I get you now :)

I think I will offer it for sale in the meantime. If no offers are received then I will develop.

More opinions still welcome

PM if interested by the way.
