is it legal to point to any website from my own website

lets say i have a website xyz.com and i point all my visitors to dnforum.com for their needs and i do not ask dnforum.com for any revenue for it, it it binding for me to take permission of dnforum.com before refering my visitors to dnforum.com or can i do it for dnforum.com or any other website on the world wide web

Legally I do not think there is an issue but some web site owners might have a problem with it. I'd say contact them and at least let them know what you are doing and do not expect to get any gains from doing so.

I've done it with a couple of domains and when I did I contact the domain owners and their web designers (I knew 100% they wouldn't have an issue but it was a good idea to CYOA). This also includes non-profit organizations.

That's nice. You're mad at a company so you point a very good .info to their site giving them more traffic. At least reg SedoSucks.com or something like that and make a good site.

I'd say as long as you forward the url and not mask the domain so that it is clear to the visitors that they are on the domain you are pointing to.
