Clearly it would be better without the “i.” But some potential is there. If you develop a good site, the name will work. "I" can stand for "Internet."

Your lookup is missing the .us ext. You should probably include it, especially since your site is a .us. Omission translates to insignificance.

try the dns tools, it also has a whois function, that one supports the .us ext.

Take a look at the traffic, http://iwhois.us/stats.gif its not doing too bad, and the first two days the domain was just parked and no website was there.

site would be better served on a different domain. IMHO iwhois.us is worthless as a domain name.

However, I love the site... lots of cool little tools. If it took you less than an hour or two to build, than it was worth it.
