The site for sale is a nearly 5 year old humour site, JestersJokes.com. In mid-2005, it reached its peak, earning about $400 per month on average, in total. However, I have been forced to neglect the site due to other important business. I cannot see this site going downhill, so I have decided to pass on the site to someone who can exploit its full potential.

Included is the full site with a custom logo, and over 400 jokes & pictures, most added manually. The site has a subscriber base of 7900. I used to send daily newsletters. But due to lack of time, I haven't been able to utilize this avenue at all over the last couple of months.

The site makes money through various sources, including AdSense, Interclick, Casalemedia, Targetfirst, Banner/Subscription ads, Text links and TAFMaster. In Oct 2005 (the lowest earning month in 2005 between Jan and Oct), the stats are:

Casale: $46
TF: $28
Interclick: $34
Text link: $10
AdSense: (I have not chanelled this, so it is very difficult to predict anything. However, this is the largest site I own, and the total earnings for the month was $249)
TAFMaster: $5

TOTAL: That is $120 excluding the AdSense earnings.

Nov' 05 income is about $70 without AdSense, because I started focussing on AdSense, removing the other ads. Also, TargetFirst went out of business without paying for the month's revenues!

The site has had a lot of hosting problems over the last month, so it would be hard for me to get traffic data. The site used to do over 1,000 unique visitors per day. Currently, I think it does anywhere between 200 - 400 per day.
The site is nearly 5 years old, well established, PR of 4, and can be turned into a good money maker it used to be with a little bit of effort.
I need to pass this site on as soon as possible; we urgently need to look into the development of this site.

I am starting bidding at $300, with a reserve at $500 and BIN at $1,000. (I feel all these prices are extremely reasonable, as I need to move on; I cannot keep neglecting this site and let it go as waste) Please let me know if you have any questions. Please consider this sale as urgent, for your benefit.

Thank you very much.

I buy and sell a lot of websites including humor/jokes website. As usual, I am interested in doing the BIN of the website provided I get a proof of the following.

You said: "The site for sale is a nearly 5 year old humour site, JestersJokes.com"
However I see that the domain name was Created on: 26-feb-2004

I do not intend to trash the sales thread, but since I am ready to BIN this for $1000 if you can tell me how your website is 5 years old.

i am interested too at bin if you have the proof. obviously cwsteam.com is first.

I see it as 26-feb-2004 too and not a 5 year old website unless the domain is newer.

According to Archive.org, it was previous owned by a UK Joke/Magic shop in 2001 up till the 2004 date that it was aquired by the current owner. So if you want to be specific, the Joke site has only been around since Feb or March 2004.

I was interested but would've liked to have had the full earning and traffic data.

I agree to that, but this sounds like the previous owner did not renew his domain, it got deleted, and then acquired by Sub and site developed, because otherwise there is no way the domain registration date would reset.

Am I right ? Sub, please clarify, I am ready to BIN based on theanswer for this.

I am not the first owner of the site. When I bought this site in 2004, I had been told that the domain was in use since 2001, but it was converted to its current state in early Feb 2004.

So, yes, I am wrong with that matter. I should have said the site is nearly 2 years old, and the domain is 5 years.

I have got 2 BIN offers waiting. If they fall through, I will let you know.

The user with BIN, fabian05, has not responded in the last 2-3 days. So, I am still welcome to offers.

Thanks!

UPDATE: The highest confirmed bid as of now is $600.

I have had a confirmed BIN, but the buyer has not responded at all in the last 2-3 days. There's been a lot of interest, but many of them just stop communicating! Anyone who has been in touch with me regarding this sale, please confirm your status, even if you are not interested anymore.

Thanks a lot.
