Cellular.jp sold for $39,500 on Afternic. Seems high for this extension, even if it is a prime keyword. Wonder if it is a real bid? :-D

I was surprised to see this at afternic. Could be for real. Cellular business in Japan is doing very well.

too bad that japanese probably dont use the word cellular to refer to cellular.

keep in mind that .jp extension is considered as second rate ext. in japan, because 'real' japanese extension is co.jp which is used for big businesses..

microsoft, yahoo, toshiba, mcdonalds, subway.. none of them use .jp

only co.jp.

Yes ,you are right.
In Japan,people very like .co.jp not .jp.
In China,people like .cn more than .com.cn now.
